STUSH supports artistry in our Youth!

On Saturday July 20 and Sunday July 21, 2013, the Campion College Dance Society presented their third annual season of dance dubbed ‘Inception’ at the Little Theatre. The society, formally known as the Campion Dance Club, rose quickly to a multiple award winning 61 member troupe in just under three years.

STUSH got the chance to see this magnificent showcase and from the opening dance ‘Creation’ and the melodious tunes of CHORDS to the dance drama ‘Passa Passa’ that closed the show, you felt the raw kinetic energy from a talented and dedicated group of dancers. Artistic Director, Dwright Wright declares “We are proud to present yet another season of professionally staged narrative dances, bringing you into compelling proximity with the moving body.”

Dwright wanted to push the artistic boundaries this year by incorporating production dynamics and that was truly achieved because the talent and skill of the dancers was coupled with excellent lighting and stagecraft.

The society showcased 26 pieces which made the show a bit lengthy but nevertheless it truly had unforgettable moments. We recognize Campion College in a very STUSH way for preserving arts and culture in our youth in Jamaica.
