Police constable Kevon Gordon who has been charged with murder in connection with the video-recorded shooting of Garfield Coburn, a resident of Mahoney District, Lawrence Tavern, St Andrew has been granted bail. Senior Resident Magistrate Judith Pusey this morning offered him bail in the sum of $250,000.

A stop order was placed on Gordon at all ports of entry and exit; and he was also ordered to surrender his travel documents.

Amateur video broadcast on television and posted on the Internet showed Coburn on the ground following a dance in Lawrence Tavern shortly after being shot.

Immediately before the shooting, Coburn was held by a cop who insisted that he should accompany him, as he was under arrest.
