The Quilt Performing Arts Company utilized SOUND. LIGHT. WORDS. PASSION. and ART. to “Release” their creative energies at their annual Concert Season at The Philip Sherlock Centre For The Creative Arts last night. Rayon Esso Mclean, Jamaica’s youngest Artistic Director of a performing arts company is at the helm of #Quilt and cites “I don’t believe in thinking outside the box ; I never created one in the first place, so I don’t need to find my way out.” #QPAC is known for their dark, eerie motifs and tear jerking intent that pulls any audience and their remarkable performance quality and zeal in what they do is just excellent. Keeping up with modern times, the company under the Multimedia and Film direction of Maya Wilkinson supported byAllison Harrison from Factory75 added a clean and efficient touch to the shows execution. The #Quilt reach doesn’t stop here, they were recently selected to represent Jamaica in Manchester, England at “Contacting the World”, an international theatre exchange project for young people involving young companies from around the globe this summer. The #STUSHlens were on site to see Sounds of the Tree, Noises in my Blood, Reflections of Red, Vessel, Loversation, Open Closed Doors and FORCE! #STUSHfam take a look.
