For the 50th year of Jamaica’s independence, the National Stadium complex has been transformed into the Jamaica 50 Golden Jubilee Village, a panorama of Jamaican sights, smells and sounds that is sure to have your heart saluting the black, gold and green! Day and night, the main stage will come alive with performances covering the gamut from traditional folk forms, to the dancehall artistes topping the charts. Enjoy a more intimate setting at the Piano Bar, centrally located in the Independence Expo in the National Arena. There’s tons to do – with an expansive food court, art and craft village, parish expositions and kids’fair, it’s a great day out for the whole family! From August 1 through 5, the village will be free to enter to the public, with convenient shuttle service provided from several locations by the JUTC. See the full schedule of happenings on the Jamaica 50 website at: Stush coverage brought to you by Victoria Mutual, Red Stripe and LIME.
