Opening night on the main stage at the Golden Jubilee Village saw a diverse array of Jamaican art forms, with performances from Tessance Chin, L’Acadco Dance Force, Seretse Small, Jamaican Folk Singers, Leonie Forbes, Winston “Bello” Bell, Fab 5 and more. Inside the Arena, the first “Jubilee Conversation” was staged, with the audience being invited to participate with invited speakers in the fields of sociology, economics and communications, on the topic of “The Evolution of the Political System Since Independence”.
