Universal Children’s Day celebrated its 60th anniversary on November 20, 2014 and the Office of the Children’s Advocate commemorated the occasion with school children island-wide centring down on the Ranny Willams Entertainment Centre. Governor General, Sir Patrick Allen, declared that the day was to be also recognised as National Story Telling Day. Amina Blackwood-Meeks, Artistic Director of the Storytelling Foundation of Jamaica and Ntukuma ensured the children were entertained throughout the day with array of short stories.
