On Thursday, September 5th J.Wray & Nephew transformed Jo Jo’s Jerk Pit into a Whiskey Connoisseurs Lounge, for their ‘Whiskeys From Around the World’ Passport Programme Launch. Guests were invited to ‘travel through their line’ of Whiskeys, six from around the world, including Jack Daniel’s, Gentleman Jack, Jameson, Chivas Regal, Glenmorangie and The Glenlivet.

Each guest received a Whiskeys From Around The World passport which will allow them to learn about the line of Whiskeys offered by J. Wray & Nephew and to also have a chance to redeem a 200ml bottle of Whiskey at participating locations when they present 8 stamps in their passport. Each stamp represents a time that they had purchased a glass of Whiskey featured in the passport.

“The reason for creating this Passport Whiskey Programme is to give Whiskey drinkers a chance to experience all the award winning brands within the participating outlets and to remind them of the premium brands carried by J. Wray & Nephew ” said Brand Manager , Chesna Haber who was excited about the turnout despite the unpredictable weather and looks forward to the consumer participation in the passport programme.

Throughout the evening guests were able to sample the entire range of JWN Whiskeys and at the end of the night selected guests were asked to participate in a blind tasting to see if they could distinguish the different brands. Although Whiskey is referred to as a “man’s drink” it was Najah Peterkin, Manager of Private Client Services at NCB Capital Markets Ltd., who emerged as the winner, by correctly identifying all the brands.
