The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission’s World Reggae Dance Championship was held for the very first time in 2006, in an effort to give national and international exposure to talent that exists in Root/Reggae Dance. From inception, the competition was well received and is to enjoyment to thousands of patrons and members of the reggae/dancehall fraternity.

STUSH got the chance to experience roots/reggae/dancehall dance at its best and this was truly an international competition as we had entrants from Japan, Finland, Guadeloupe and Jamaica. In the end it was Japan who took both 1st and 2nd place spots and Jamaica in 3rd. Big up to all our contestants as the talent was truly amazing!
