On Monday, October 28, 2013, Jamaican reggae star Tessanne Chin rocked The Voice stage with an amazing rendition of Kelly Clarkson’s “Stronger.” The 28 year old went up against 23 year old single mom Ashley DuBose. Ashley delivered a commendable performance of the Train hit, “Hey Soul Sister.” Despite Ashley’s valiant effort, Tessanne’s killer vocals put her in a class of her own. Team coach and judge, Adam Levine, stated weeks ago during the blind auditions that he believed Tessanne could easily win the competition. So it came as no surprise that he selected her as the victor of that knockout round. Tessanne now advances to the live shows which commence next week Monday. It’s rumored that she will be singing iconic reggae song “Many Rivers To Cross”, by Jimmy Cliff. Let’s just hope that viewers won’t ‘hideaway’ from securing her votes. Let the voting begin!
